The clip is from a film commissioned by a private members’ club for a virtual sensory space and physical pop-up installation event. In an age of relentless and overwhelming busyness, it almost takes conscious brute force for us to pause. And yet, research suggests that this busyness is not real, but personal choice linked to our modern self-perception of value.

The film was co-created with club members who answered the question “What one thing would cause you to pause for thought?” Each response informed the creation of a painting using a text-based AI suite, which was further manipulated to create the final work.
